Raylee is 1!

Last weekend we celebrated Raylee's birthday! I can't believe my second child's 1st birthday has now come and gone... time goes way to fast.
Anyway, it was a beautiful, fun day with family and friends.

I kind of went with the May flower, spring theme.
The cake and cupcakes I made...

As I put all the flower pot centerpieces together I got quite emotional looking at some of these pics of my little girl. She's gotten so big, but I think her face has barely changed... well it's gotten much chunkier, but still...Some big kids came over and decided to "help" the little ones with the bubbles.

Our booth

We recently went to our first Bridal Show as Frenzel Photographers. As Derek and I started brainstorming what we'd want our booth to be like, it quickly became more and more involved, and once we had the final vision in our heads there was no turning back! Derek did an incredible job of making the birds, and refinishing the "walls" and tin tiles you see hanging. It was crazy getting it all set up in time, but here is the finished product...

We had a great day meeting brides, grooms and their family and friends. If you came by our booth in Long Beach, thank you, and we look forward to talking with you more about your wedding day!

Jay & Natalie

We recently had the opportunity to do a "Just for Fun" and "Rock the Dress" shoot with Jay and Natalie. They were so fun to hang out with and shoot- they really got into it, which is always nice. Jay even informed us that he had been practicing poses! Awesome!! Here are some of my favs from the day...

We traipsed all over the place looking for cool spots to shoot. This turned out to be my favorite little gem.

Yeah, Jay even brought his bike... how rad is that?!?

Don't know what it is about this one, but I really liked the feel of it- all raw and grainy. It was practically dark by this point!

To see more of Jay and Natalie's shoot enjoy the slideshow below.

"Spread the News"

The "Spread the News" shoot is such a fun time to get to know you as a couple and for you to get to know how we'll be interacting with your on your wedding day.
Think about what represents you as a person and you both as a couple... fun props are always good, a location that reflects your personal style, and some sassy outfits! Be ready to loosen up, have some fun, and... kiss a lot! Hope that's ok?!? :)

Here are some of our favorite engagement images..

"Bun in the Oven"

Being a mommy myself I know exactly how amazing and special this time in your life is. Well, except the nausea, heartburn, leg cramps, backaches, break outs, cravings, headaches, and small bladder... it's pure bliss, huh?!? Every kick, roll and flutter makes you smile; and the anticipation of what your baby will look like keeps you up at night... Pregnancy is incredible- and something that only happens probably a few time in your life; so take the time to capture the beauty that you are with that belly full of life growing inside you! Here are some of my all time fav maternity pics.
This section is special for me because a lot of these girls are friends and I have the privilege of seeing their little miracles often!

I do all the maternity shoots, but never the less here is Derek's contribution to the "Bun in the Oven" section... me- pregnant with our first. I was actually almost 37 weeks pregnant here; and Jackson was born less than 2 weeks later.
